11.09.07Holster your Production!
Looks like we’re gonna have to wait a few extra months for Day 7 of 24 to kick off in 2008, but it sounds like it’s gonna be worth it. Fox announced a production delay because of the WGA strike, but no worries, from the sound of what lies ahead, it sounds like Day 7 is gonna be super kick ass and worth the obligatory wait. Tony Almeida’s back, the show’s set in D.C., and rounding out the entire cast of Robocop is Kurtwood “Take a look at my face, Dick” Smith as a Senator investigating Jack’s previous torture record. The show was rumored to be in NYC and Japan for a while as well, and CTU has apparently been shut-down by the government. Whatever the plot, I’m sure it’ll be a super kick ass thrill ride from start to finish. Can’t wait, but it’s worth the wait.

07.10.07Special 24 Post - Day 7 Will Kick Your Ass
It’s at least kicking the asses of the producers. Apparently, there was some hoo-haw about wanting to shoot some episodes in Africa (?!) So…. what do producers do? They scrap the entire storyline, and go back to the drawing board…
But they are still keeping a female president. Yippee. And Chloe will be back. Now, with a bun in the oven, or a full baked basket, I don’t know. All I’m saying, it’s time to Ctrl. Alt. Del. on this sucker, and start all over again…. -
06.20.07Special 24 Post - Now I Know I’m in Trouble
So the end of the world is nigh. Apparenty, the Canucks had a judges conference, in which the topic of Jack Bauer and 24 came up.
It was a whole heady discussion about is it right that Jack uses so much torture, and should he abandon Constitutional Law and whether he should make such claims as:
- “Tell me where the bomb is or I will kill your son.”
- “I don’t want to bypass the Constitution, but these are extraordinary circumstances.”
- “I need to use every advantage I’ve got.”
- “If we want to procure any information from this suspect, we’re going to have to do it behind closed doors.”
- “I’m talking about doing what’s necessary to stop this warhead from being used against us.”
- “When I’m finished with you, you’re gonna wish that you felt this good again.”
- “You don’t have any more useful information, do you?”
Me? I say “HELL YEAH” I did not stick with this show for 6 seasons to have a dull, boring and NICE Jack. It’s called drama. It’s called fantasy. Would everyone just chill out, and stop blaming 24 for the United States’ activity in the Middle East?
And this is the kicker…. Justice Antonin Scalia agrees with me. Or I agree with him. Regardless - we see eye to eye on this one. *SIGH* Oh well. At least I know 24 won’t get taken off the air without a fight now…

05.22.07Tuesday 24 Wrap Up - 4 AM - 6 AMYou know, as soon as it ended, I immediately became impatient for January of 2008. Here’s the deal, never count Jack out, it is possible to sideline Chloe for the final 30 minutes of the season, the Bauer line can continue, and if we’re lucky, the lack of an eye will make Ricky Schroeder come back with a vengeance next season.
Hopefully a term or two will pass by the time next January rolls around, because it’s time to clean house. Milo’s already dead, Karen and Bill are retiring, Chloe and the alcoholic are having a baby - let’s start anew.

05.15.07Tuesday 24 Wrap Up - 3 AM - 4 AMAll someone needs is a cup of coffee at 3 AM. If you’re up, you’re sleepy. Unless your Jack. At 3 AM, you realize that there are only 3 hours left before you have to save the world.
So last night we learned that the Russians aren’t as dumb as we thought they were, that Jack shoots better when he’s running vs. standing still, and that the US Government is as dumb as we thought they were.
And don’t worry Nadia, we don’t blame you for what happened. Except the whole Milo getting shot thing. That should have been you.

05.08.07Tuesday 24 Wrap Up - 2 AM - 3 AMI guess we could have dubbed last night’s episode, “Parade of the Secondary Characters”. Seriously - in the opening bits, the VP and “The Rickker” get call outs before Jack? BEFORE Jack? Hell, even Marilyn Bauer got a nod - AND Lisa Miller. *SIGH* looks like they had to shore up some time, so they might as well remind us of the peopel we aren’t going to see next season.
And I guess I can stop complaining about Milo’s arm, huh? Bye-Bye Milo, we hardly knew your poor-shaven, hazardly dressed, hip-nerd attitude - and now, we never will.

05.01.07Tuesday 24 Wrap Up - Midnight - 2 AMWow. In all of TV history, I don’t think there’s been a less believeable kiss than the one between VP Ole Dirty Bastard and Blondie. I mean REALLY.
So yeah. Fox does it every once in awhile, so why can’t I? I’m giving you two hours for the price of one! Ok, not really - all you need to know from last week’s episode is that women will do anything to save their own skin. Bill Buchannan is whipped to a degree that would enrage my father-in-law, and contrary to popular belief, blondes aren’t more fun. And if you want to bed one, be the new Acting Prez, and whisper in her ear, “I’m the leader of the Free World, millions of lives are on the line, and all I can think of is you.” When your done washing the taste of vomit out of your mouth - hit the jump. We’re done with last week, it’s onto this week, where we learn that you should pay attention to details about your wife/girlfriend if you ever need to bring her out of a psychological state to get info to locate the Chinese. And more than just her birthday. Not much more, but just a little more.

Not getting your way? Think someone is holding out information? Then follow the Wayne Palmer school of diplomacy: Threaten to nuke a Middle East country. I don’t know much about diplomacy. Nor about political theory - but I’m pretty sure the concept of nuking someone to get them to talk isn’t really listed in the “Top 10 of Negotiation Tactics.”
