Theater on the Lake – The Pics Are In!

Yeah, we were pretty awesome. It was great to relive some of our greatest hits, and do it in a theater right on Lake Michigan, hosted by the City of Chicago! Here’s a mini-gallery right now – but after the jump – the nice, big, FULL gallery of fun that was had.

Gallery Cabaret 5/24/08: Closing Night!

6 weeks. 6 shows. 5 dive bars. 1 great beer. It all came to an end on Saturday night. We closed the PBR Tour at the place where it all began, the Gallery Cabaret! We had some LA talent there (thanks Jill!), some adventures in what 2 white guys believe and what parts of their body are the hairiest (thanks Don and Joe!), an awkward-looking gentleman that questioned the idea of “mulch” (thanks Robert!), the Hausfrau of the heartland (thanks Bertha!) – and of course, Jango Fett! Needless to say, it was a riotous good time! Complete gallery after the jump!

Hideout 5/17/08: Alt Media Slam #2 (and show)

Seriously. Slams were thrown, Lita Ford interviewed losers, farts were played while a columnist read her work, Tim Smithe cut a ribbon, a jug band played from their latest album in the lobby, Ed Bus even stopped by to tell us why they repealed the foie gras rule. It was like urban LA without all the gunshots. Seriously.

Red Line Tap 5/3/08: 1998 Flashback!

The show on Saturday up at the Red Line Tap was a kick-ass return to Rogers Park! Not only did we return to 1998 in style (can anyone say Missy Elliott remix of Heartbreaker?!) – but the true magic wasn’t just on stage… It was in the AUDIENCE. Laughs and PBR, always a good combo. Looptopia 5/2/08: How to Act Like a Cowboy

Friday night Schad was out in front of the Artists’ Snack Shop on Michigan with resident Artistic Director Christopher Kriss, and his protege, Danny Fine, teaching all those interested How To Act Like A Cowboy.

Besides dodging rainstorms, Christopher and Danny entertained the populace, and advertised a few of his upcoming workshops – How to Audition for a Mt. Dew Commercial, How to Emote with TXT MSGING, and One-Man Show as Therapy.

Silvies 4/26/08: Rockin’ St. Bens!

We partied until the wee hours of the AM on Saturday (or do you consider that Sunday at that point?). Tons of guests, lots of PBR, and the best part was – the old guy running door gave us each a hug at the end of the night. It’s almost like he was gonna miss us. He even asked us if we were going to come back. Right now, we are withholding our answer.
