He’s doing great. He’s now a sophomore at Whitney Young. Since the news about Cutler, I’ve been trying to teach the boy…

We took Miles to a Chica-go-go taping Saturday. He went crazy, running and dancing and even trying to rip Ratso’s legs off. But the best part is when the band would be featured. If you ever watch Chica-go-go, you know that they feature a band. They lip-synch. It’s campy. Well it got campier as Miles took on the form of a stoned hippy and crashed their set.

We took Miles to a Valentines Dance at Holstein Park this weekend. Ladies, he already knows how to 8th grade slow dance. In this video, Miles learns about love and rejection.

When it gets really cold and dreary out, a child gets bored. Miles is bored right now so I did what any self-respecting parent would do: took him over to the yuppie toy store for an hour. Why buy stuff when you can borrow it for a bit. Now that’s how you parent when you’re poor. (by the by, they want $250 for the kitchen set). We put the green sweat suit on him for effect.

I got a new little flip-camera for X-mas. And yesterday, I tried out some serious camera-tricks using a baby and his favorite mirror-book. I call this short film “Miles Says Cheese” or “The Room”.
