Yeah, I’ve read all the books. Yeah, I bought the latest one. Yeah, I finished it.
Friday night, Oak Park decided to stay open late. As in, past 9 PM. It was too celebrate the launch of the last Harry Potter book - one that I’ll admit I had been waiting for. After seeing Sheila’s show at the Goodman, we decided to head out to Oak Park - just to see what Oak Park at 11 PM looked like. Normally, it’s a ghost town, filled with a couple cops and some high school kids who are “breakin’ the rules no matter what mom and dad say!”. But Friday… Friday was different. There were a lot more cops, and a lot of kids - lining up in front of bookstores. (Oak Park has three within a 300 yd. span). Most dressed like a wizard - and of course the obligatory girls with shirts, ties, and short short skirts. So, it sorta reminded me like hanging outside of SoundBar on a Sunday night.
