If you haven’t heard, we’ve got a show coming up at the hot new venue, Lincoln Hall – and we’ve just added harmonica/beat box phenom Yuri Lane to the lineup. What’s a harmonica/beat box phenom? Damn, you are soooo out of the loop. I could try to put it in words, but then, this is the internetz, so here’s a video:

Nothing like some uber-local Chicago DJ rivalries being brought to light for the national audience of the TBS Just for Laughs Festival! I must say, Eddie Volkman and Joe Bohannon do hold their own against Eric Ferguson and Kathy Hart (ha) in this clip.

Have you seen Rhymefest’s new video for his song “Prosperity”? Check it out here and then come see the hot-ass rapper at the Schad show on Thursday. He will be performing his track “Celebration” live with The Jordan Years. And from what I’ve heard, Rhymefest is also a huge Wrigleyville Cubs fan. He also hangs out with a certain Wrigleyville crew that may be showing up at the show. Be ready.

Seriously? Do you really think we would waste our time with a bunch of no-name hacks?! Of course not! We waste our time with no-name professionals! These guys have been day players and guns for hire for some of the greatest bands in Chicago – and beyond! These guys are THE JORDAN YEARS.

We asked two of the members, Roger and Michael, to show us their goods. No, they didn’t drop their pants, they rocked the 1st Annual Tone-Off.

Oh no. This is a damn EVENT. It’s so big, Chicago Music Project came out and interviewed us, and threw together this EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK of Thursday night’s show.

See. If were just some ole’ run of the mill comedy show, we wouldn’t be getting the music scene involved, would we? No. And if were just some ole’ stand-up act (ahem, Denis Leary) then would we be getting Grammy award winning artist Rhymefest? No. And if were just some act that you could see every Thursday night at the Annoyance (ahem, Messing) THEN WOULD WE BE DOING THIS AT MARTYR’S? No.

You are really running out of reasons to not come to this show. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

Schadenfreude. We’re kind of a big deal.
