Last Chance Saloon for FUN! Watch it! Watch it now! | (2)
I know you missed it. I know most of you have no idea what I'm talking about when I mention "Dr. Horrible." Much less, "Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog." Joss Whedon - the guy behind Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Serenity - and a whole lot of other sci-fi/fantasy pop-culture defining moments came up with this great character, "Dr. Horrible" - and his quest to gain entry into the "Evil ...

Follow Up Question. Poll, Pop Culture | (2)
Ok gang. We've gotten some insight about what people thought the Best Movie of the Summer of '08 was. Now it's time for the flipside. Lots of bad movies came out this summer. Personally, I haven't seen all of these [Fred - that's for you] - but if you want to post spoilers about why you voted for any of these, I'm totally down with that. If ...

Friday Afternoon Gametime Fun. Apple-licious | (2)
This is as awesome as you think it is. Steve Jobs vs. Bill Gates. With Lightsabers. And special attacks and finishing moves. And bad voiceover work. Once and for all, all you Windows-lovers (Witt, I'm looking at you) and all us Apple Fanboys (I'm looking in a mirror right now) can now, finally, kill the other. Hit the jump to play - because what ...

Band Breakdown Friday! Music | (1)
Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen - this is not your typical music video Friday... OH NO.  This is where we get to see the glorious members of KISS completely break character and threaten to shove a laser pointer up an audience member's ass.  The BEST part of this video - is not the threatening or the anger (rightfully so, I'd be super pissed if someone just spent 7 minutes hitting my ...

Quick Poll - Favorite Movie of the Summer? Poll | (25)
Ok - so the summer's almost over. Batman: TDK seems to be the runaway winner (KJ - looking good on the brackets) however - a more important question is brought sharply into focus: Dollars don't always equal a better movie. Which movie this summer was the best? So go ahead and vote - let's see what YOU say! Me? I already voted for Wanted. If ...

One of the Best Shows You’re Not Watching. TV, Tip Sheet | (5)
I'm hard up for TV, and these are the doldrum months when you start to take chances. I'll admit - Adam brought it to my attention first - and I shot him down. I'm the screw-up. Saw a couple episodes of the first season, and couldn't find the groove. Yet, for some reason, I caught the Season Premiere a couple weeks ago - and WOW. ...

24… Exile? TV, Tuesday 24 Wrap Up | (2)
I'm a fan of 24 - I don't hide it, I don't shy away from it, I stand up proudly at all my AA meetings and state with confidence, "Hello. My name is Stephen, and I love 24." Of course, that doesn't do anything to help with my addiction to alcohol, but screw it, I have to start somewhere. So, this is old news - but still important to ...

Things To Do at a Meathead Bar for Fun Bits | (19)
A couple weeks ago we all got together to go see Chicago Underground Comedy Chicago Comedy Series over at the Apollo. It was a night of stand-up goodness headlined by Andrew DeWitt (you may remember Andrew from such roles as "Canny" in the PBR Rent Parties, and "Rex" in our Christmas Card). A good night overall - but sadly, the Apollo is right on the fringes of Bug ...

Ebert. Roeper. St. Judgefeld? Chicago Public Radio Show | (0)
In the recent news of "At the Movies" going the Disney way, and getting rid of the veteran critic Ebert in the process (and Roeper) (and everything else that made this the perfect Chicago show) - we thought it about time that we let everyone remember Schadenfreude's critic - Jonathan St. Judgefeld. In this clip, from the episode entitled "Delay" (in which flights at an airport are... Delayed) - ...

Why Have a Conversation When You Can Just Leave a Voicemail? Technology | (0)
Check this out. How many times have you wanted to tell someone something, but not actually talk to them? Me - all the God-damned time. I can't tell you how many times I've picked up the phone to tell someone something real quick - praying against hope that they don't pick up the phone as a punch in those dreadful 7 digits... Only to get a cheerful ...
