Ugh. 24 Starts Again on Sunday.

Season 7 of 24 - see, there's a NY Subway. And I’m torn. Should I even bother? They’re trying to hook me back in – look at the evidence:

  • It’s not in LA.
  • It’s not even in California.
  • It’s not even in the West Time Zone.
  • It’s in NYC.
  • He’s admitted he’s still rogue – so “anything” can happen.
  • They wiped out MOST of the good actors between the last two seasons, so there’s no one to really lean on anymore. (Except Cherry Jones – and she’s a reason to NOT watch it – so this one negates itself.)
  • There’s nothing else that is pure “action” on TV anymore – unless you count MythBusters.
  • I don’t think Sprint is sponsoring this season.
  • Starbuck. Katee Sackhoff is in the season. That’s a positive. However, the negative that counters this is, Freddie Prinze, Jr. is ALSO in this season. So, no net gain here.

I mean, that’s kind of a good list… right? So here’s the deal – should I watch and resuscitate the “Tuesday 24 Wrap Up”? I feel like I should, I mean, if I’m going to watch it – then I might as well put that hour of crap to good use, right?

Should I watch "24" this season?

  1. I voted Yes but with caution. We watched the 2.5 minute free preview on iTunes and it was JUST OKAY. I’ll give the first few episodes a few good old college tries, but if I’m not into this show I am ABSOLUTELY NOT spending a season watching it like I did last season.

I really trusted 24 to get better last season, and we all know that it jumped the shark.

I hope it rocks, I really do — but unfortunately the show should have REALLY ended at the end of Season 4, which was the best season finale ending of any show, ever.

But I have yet to see Lost…

  2. Sandy – I appreciate your honesty.

I didn’t even finish watching last season. I had it sitting on my DVR for a month after the episode aired… And I knew I was never going to watch it, so I deleted it.

Let me know how it goes.

I vowed to never watch it again when they did NOT kill Jack last season. They told me he was going to die for 6 episodes. And then he didn’t. F-off.

Oh, also, Jack is now a Grandpa. Not sure if that’s a positive or a negative…
