BOTTOM LINE: Fearless>Thunderbolt & Lightfoot>Tucker: The Man and His Dream
I don’t remember anything from my first viewing (1981, ON-TV) except for Jeff Bridges saying “Hey, where did you get those pants?” to a lady in short shorts riding a motorcycle and the ending, which I won’t spoil here. Many years ago, I made a VHS recording of the film when it was featured as the WGN Saturday Afternoon Movie. Going in and out of commercials, WGN would show this image from the movie poster. I remember the TV Guide at the time listed the film as Action/Adventure.
Connor – does this tagline help you remember your 1981 viewing?: “Thunderbolt… the man with the reputation. Lightfoot… the kid who’s about to make one!”
*Thanks IMDB! You’ve told me nothing (albeit in a seemingly cool way)!
