Have you been keeping up with this? Letterman makes a Palin/daughter joke, an audience laughed, a country cried, Palin goes on the news to say that she doesn’t like Letterman implying that her daughter was raped, Letterman retorts with yet another joke…. And now, he backs down.
Why does this woman keep getting press? Didn’t we find out during the election that she’s an idiot? Hadn’t the Republican Party already defined HER as the reason why McCain lost the election? Hadn’t we just stopped listening to her? Well, this just confirms – I’m done with Late Night talk show television. I honestly can’t think of anytime Howard has apologized for a joke, and he has insinuated waaaaay more than Letterman ever has…

It’s so sad to see someone who nobody likes, who wants to be famous in the worst way, try to “poor me” their way to prominence.
I hate watching people self-destruct and come ever close to a breakdown. If she were smart she’d go away for a couple years and re-appear with her shit together and try to win an election in some other way than asking people to feel sorry for her or calling everyone Communist. What a weirdo. If you squint hardly at all, The Republican Party would appear to be full of Male Cheerleaders and Beauty Contestants.
Oh, and enough with the fake populism, Alaska isn’t the midwest, stop saying that David Letterman and me and Justin Kaufman and everyone who voted for Barack Obama just don’t have proper value and don’t understand you because you’re from Alaska, where they invented bread and Christianity.

Bart’s conservative, not stupid. There’s no way be buys into this Political Reality Show manufactured bullshit.
I love it when people trot out their kids, approve of their kids giving interviews all over the television/magazines and then don’t understand why their kids are a public target.
My prediction is Willow gets pregnant in about 3 years but Letterman won’t be able to joke about it because he backed down from this.
I couldn’t figure out in all of this why the media and republicans didn’t go nutballs when Jay Leno told an almost identical joke last September. I suppose now they’re really pissed they lost the election, so they’re hanging on to any opportunity that comes along.
