Boom Goes the Dynamite.
Know this meme? Even if you do – please watch. The next 4 minutes are the most enjoyable Schadenfreude I can find on the web at this hour.

I’ve been amazed at how few people have seen this even as “Boom goes the dynamite” has increased in conversational usage.
See Will Smith here – which is what brought it to my attention.

Boom goes the dynamite? Take the script away from you and let’s see how well you do when everyone else on stage clips along. (BTW, it’s already been done as a play). This is sad, not humorous.
Lou – are you talking about the fantastic sports broadcasting or WIll Smith’s unfortunate Oscar mishap?
Either way – perhaps you didn’t catch the name of the site – “Schadenfreude” – it’s a German noun meaning “pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others”
Hence – the pleasure from watching each of those videos.
As always, bonus points for working the definition of the group into a discussion.
I swear, I thought the people leaping at the end were the station’s news team. And that was their “go to” graphic (“we’ll be right back BAH-DAHP-BOOP-BEEP-BAAAAAAAAAHP!”)
“On behalf of all the staff here at WBSU, and everyone else at Ball State, we would like to congratulate sports anchor Brian McWeenus, a 15-year broadcast veteran, on his retirement tonight. Any parting words, Brian?”
“….yeah….”
“Awesome. Gail? What’s the BS weather looking like?”
This is sick, sick , sick! This isn’t misfortune. It is raw and unfiltered human suffering. How can you sleep at night knowing that you have reveled in this poor creature’s pain and obvious shortcomings. Everybody has a right to try their best at something, even the “special” ones. I say we all should try to live up to BOOM’s example, and try our hand at whatever we desire. All of God’s creatures are worthy of our respect and love, even those with extra chromosomes.
I just found this:

Really, quite a great story (legend?).
If I’m not mistaken – this is the first time you’ve commented Joe!
I’m glad there are people like you and Lou Grant who fight for people’s sense of well-being, so that those of us who bring their suffering out into the light can do so with a cleaner conscious.
In the meantime, remember that here is not where you should post your frustrations, but rather, the people who continually post this on YouTube, Vimeo, and other video-sharing sites AND all the sites that have, do, and will post this, and laugh at it.
Don’t be a martyr once, be a martyr always.
