Armand was gold in “Judge Dredd”
I didn’t even know this movie existed until this morning.
What’s really freaky is that the film is from 2006… from the caricature-illustration poster design and cast, I was guessing this was made in the late eighties (Chevy’s head here is clearly a cut and paste job from a Vacation still). The random inclusion of Valerie Bertinelli at lover right only strengthens my argument
In case you weren’t sure if this is a comedy or drama, there’s a banana in his jacket pocket.
Rewriting the math of why this movie was made, if you took out the banana, replaced Chevy Chase with Kevin Spacey and put “Directed by Sam Mendes” on the cover, it’d be a genius, quirky reinvention of the 80’s camp movie.
Great call on the banana.
Further reimagining – replace banana with liquor bottle and Chevy with Jeff Bridges. Penelope is already a dead ringer for Jane Fonda here so you’ve got The Morning After (Armand being an easy stand-in for Raul Julia)
Nice.
Doesn’t it seem like this was probably written for Michael J. Fox in his heyday?
2006? WTF? Until Connor’s fact check, I thought I had missed this because I chose to see Wild Horses at the Saginaw Quad.
