From a 2004 Life supplement. Weird, right? That’s the NON celebrity on the right posing with the star of obscure cult item,Saturday Night Live – for those of you worried about the dangers of having a president who’s as popular as a celebrity.
Formed in 1997, Schad began performing sketch comedy on Chicago’s north side. The troupe has since performed at countless venues around the world including The Goodman Theatre, The Second City, Steppenwolf, Lollapalooza, ImprovOlympic, the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (LA), HERE (NYC) and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Although there’s something about Sarah Palin’s Fargo-ish accent that makes her irresistible. Like when she pronounces “President” as “Preysident”. Hypnotizing.
Please. Hardly. Life magazine? Do they even publish that anymore? Nice try but get back to me when McCain is on the cover of something we ALL read like Jet or King.

I think Life is one of those publications that some publishing people keep around, but out of a sense of nostalgia. Murdoch or whoever is sitting around a high powered board meeting, musing quietly to himself. Suddenly he sits up: “You know, we haven’t done a LIFE magazine issue in what…4 years? Who’s hot now? Is Lucky Strike still advertising?”
Just fodder for the “vote for whoever is funniest on SNL” segment of the voting population.
