I just watched Sicko too, I thought I knew the degree to which this country existed purely for Capitalist means, but when you think about it in terms of life and death, that to make sure certain Corporations make Billions instead of Millions, people must die, wow. I mean, I knew that was the case in terms of Mining Regulations and labor work conditions, which is sick as well, but this is an industry that literally deals with people not dying.

Sorry I should have dated when my Dad pulled the tumor from my dog’s back. It was about 2 years ago. And super hilarious cause the dog actually lived another year. My wife got a rejection letter from the insurance company for her ultrasound for her pregnancy. Um, she fought it and after months, they reversed it. By then, Miles was 4 months old.

But when your dad removed the tumor from the old dog, didn’t the health care system work back then? Or was this a recent amateur operation? Obviously your baby book is WAY out of date because it seems to assume that speaking to a pediatrician is free. It still is free for me and my kids (luckily), and a doctor in the pediatrician team calls us back within 2 hours, but who knows how much longer that will last? 25 dollars is more expensive than phone sex (broken down on a per-minute charge)! My boss recently told us that her doctor will soon be charging $4000 per year to be on retainer, so that he will answer her phone calls and e-mails and see her within 15 minutes of coming into his office (if she has an appointment). He’s limiting the number of patients he will treat so that he can give quality attention to his patients… THAT CAN PAY THAT ENORMOUS UPFRONT COST! My boss is a smart woman- She’s looking for another doctor. But it just echoes what you declare, Justin: “…the health care system is broken.”
