When Does TV Return to Normal?

2007_02_28television.jpgThe big question on everyone’s minds, right?  I mean, we’ve all suffered through this Writer’s Strike long enough.  It’s time to find out when I can safely be a couch potato again, and not have to watch another 4 day block of “America’s Next Top Model” on VH1.  Ok – I may not have the scoop, but I have a LINK to the scoop. That’s worth something, right? I think my favorite, is scanning through the list, and picking out the shows that Schadenfreude members watch – I’ll put the highlights here. Honestly, I think Sandy is the one who’s going to be hurt the most.

Justin – FYI:

  • The Big Bang Theory
Expected to shoot 5 to 9 new episodes to air in March/April/May.
  • Cane
No additional episodes expected this season. Future beyond that TBD.
  • Aliens in America
Eight pre-strike episodes remain. No additional episodes expected for this season.

Kate – FYI:

  • Shark
Expected to shoot as many as four new episodes to air in April/May. Future beyond that TBD.
  • Friday Night Lights
No new episodes expected for this season. Future TBD.
  • Men in Trees
Eleven pre-strike episodes remain. No additional episodes expected this season.

Sandy-FYI:

  • Journeyman
    No new episodes expected. Ever.
  • Life Is Wild
    No new episodes expected. Ever.
  • Girlfriends
Two pre-strike episodes remain. No additional episodes expected, although a special one-hour series finale is being discussed.
  • Women’s Murder Club
Back on the critical list. I’m now hearing ABC is this close to shutting down Club for good.

Adam-FYI:

  • The New Adventures of Old Christine
Seven pre-strike episodes remain. No additional episodes expected this season.
  • Moonlight
Could produce a handful of new episodes to air in April/May.
  • October Road
Four pre-strike episodes remain. Future beyond that TBD.
