God, This Show Is Great

Lying on your back for a week doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom, it can also be about discovering your new favorite show. We have HBO and for some reason I couldn’t commit to Flight of the Conchords when it first started — my schedule was full with Big Love and Entourage. But then, it happened. I watched every episode On Demand and I now have a crush on the show — the writing, the music, the two dudes — everything.

I kind of feel like those girls who are crushin’ on the Schadenfreude guys after they see one of our shows and I really want to tell them that they swear a lot and sometimes they smell.

Anyway, I digress. When I really like something or somebody’s work, I get angry — as in “why didn’t I think of that” or “why can’t I be a part of that show, group, rap posse, protest in front of the Congress Hotel, etc.??” This is how I feel about Conchords. Angry and delighted all in one sitting. It is incredibly silly and really well done. It is surprising and addictive. I highly recommend. Below is just a few clips that I love. Enjoy some choice video after the jump.
