Comicon Weekend

Raiders of the Lost Ark is my absolute, 100% favorite movie of all time. It’s that one movie that defies intellect, I have no control over the HUGE smile that creeps over my face when I watch it (and this clip). No matter how much I become a child while watching other movies, nothing just punches me there the way Raiders does.

Well here’s something special. It’s comicon weekend just five hours south of me, I was asked by numerous people to go, wanted to, but want to do it right and not spend more time in a car than there. It’s always been reported to be a circus, but with all the movies that come out now being toy/comic/fanboy related, this is now the first stop for all next summer’s spectacles, including something that has me more excited than when John Williams score crashed to the screen in Episode 1. John Williams will be crashing again soon and as much as I say this, this time I’m really seriously not sure I can handle it.

It’s simply perfect in every way, a masterpiece, a miracle. I save my Raiders screenings to once every couple years to really savor every frame of it, and never watch it with other people out of fear of really really annoying them. Needless to say this clip thrilled me immensely, when you see Harrison Ford in the fedora…oh my. P.S. A big secret they were keeping is revealed 1:10 into it, it’ll make your smile even bigger.
