Doesn’t TV suck?

So I was all excited to tell you about a new show on CBS I worked on called “Creature Comforts“. It’s the American version of the BBC’s super popular show. I watched the first 3 episodes, airing the past month on Monday nights. See, the show seeks out regular people for audio interviews on different subjects and then animates them in that Aardman clay-mation style, like Wallace and Gromit. But they are all animals. I did a couple of the interviews for them last year and last week they aired one, leaving in my voice. So I can say I was part of CBS Monday night (post-Raymond). Now if I would have taken that lead role in Young Guns, I’d be making a fortune. Anyway, I was excited about tonight’s episode because old Schaden-friend Patrick Roche was going to be on. I interviewed him and tonight was his debut. He’s got a couple kids and I’m sure they are excited about hearing/seeing their Dad on TV. But CBS cancelled the show today. Yep, they’ve decided there is no market for it and have shelved the final four episodes indefinitely. In it’s place, the loveable Adventures of Christine, followed by another Adventures of Christine. Memo to CBS: ITS SUMMER! You can’t burn off 4 more? Take a cue from Fox and run back to back “The Loop” til they are all gone. Even though I was involved in Creature Comforts, I actually thought it was a great show. It was great to watch something that wasn’t manufactured by Hollywood. #2 Memo to CBS: you suck.
