Are You Sure Your Co-Worker Is Sick? Maybe She’s On The Bachelor!

I tried to watch The Bachelor: An Officer and A Gentleman (no joke, that’s the title) last night. Why? Because I met a man last week that works with one of the women on the show. And before I go on, I have to say that the show is horrible. I know, I shouldn’t be surprised, but I have to admit that I was. About 10 minutes into the show, I realized that I couldn’t remember the name of the woman I wanted to watch. Was it Tiffany? Amber? Theissen? Darn it!
Anyway, the guy (who is the boss of the wanna be Mrs. Officer & Milktoast) told me that she came to him and requested personal leave from work, but she couldn’t tell him why. He suspected a boob or nose job. When she returned to work, she revealed that she’d been on a reality TV show during her absence. He also told me that she wasn’t gone for the full time she requested which means she’s NOT the officer and a gentleman’s special reality lady love. I’ll be honest, I think I would have fired her once I found out. Don’t you think it shows a lapse of judgement to sign up for a show that has you fighting to marry a man you haven’t met? Is that grounds for dismissal? How is she supposed to show “good judgement” with that ultra-important account? Now before you go all “Gloria Allred” on me, I have to admit that if the guy had been even slightly interesting I might defend the woman. But he wasn’t. Anybody who uses the word “special” that many times in a 1 hour episode has got to go.
