I’m Back…

The universal paradox, the more’s going on, the less time there is to report it. The big news for me of the week is that I FINALLY WENT TO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS. Obviously, for a movie fan, it was a lifelong dream. But you’ll never guess what happened next…
…actually it’s nothing monumental, but I like to leave some suspense in the air so that you click continue…to find out the TRUE STORY…

Ever since I was a little kid I’ve always wanted to go to Universal Studios, as that’s always been the representation of moviemaking in my mind since I was very little, all these fake buildings and all kinds of movie magic. Flash forward thirty-or-so-years later and I’m living in L.A., five trainstops from there. It’s like going to Wrigley Field. Paul Preston has worked at the Theme Park for two years as a Special Effects Show Host, Elwood Blues in the Blues Brothers Review and lately as owner of a video production house that Universal hires. He decided to bring ten of his friends to the park for a day to ride all the rides, the most selfless birthday gift ever. That’s the two great things about Paul, not only bringing his friends along but the fact that the guy has worked at Universal for two years is such a big kid that he still loves being at the park and riding the rides he’s ridden a hundred times. I’ll be back with more pics, I’m digitizing Doug Stanhope’s Girls Gone Wild and I have to pop that tape out and start digitizing Bubba Sparxxx Girls Gone Wild (it’s kind of a weird kind of soft-hell), but I’ll leave you with this photo for the moment.

The funny thing about Paul having been on the rides 100 times is he knows exactly when they’re going to snap the picture that you’re supposed to buy afterwards. (on the right)
