I Learned One Thing From Watchng “300”

300

This weekend, I was in Delaware visiting the studious wife. We made it a point to see “300” – a movie both Sheila AND I were excited to see since the first trailer. For those you who don’t know – it’s a movie about 300 soldiers taking on 100,000 (a lot) and how they died “honorably” etc. etc. It’s really an excellent movie, full of stunning digital scenery, fantastical computer-animated extras, and loose dialogue where Greeks use, “Hey” as often as “Thou” – and if the history presented in the movie is any indication of the way things really were – I am so sure I was born in the right century. Had I been born in Sparta back in “Ancient Times” – I would have been tossed off a cliff and died.

So thanks Zack Snyder and Frank Miller – you make me very happy I live in times of keyboards and USB and NOT steel and pestilince.
