Guess What’s Starting to Get Skanky?

This is a disaster waiting to happen. I went into the Chipotle on Belmont and Broadway Monday night to the alarming smell of…skanky burrito place. This Chipotle was one of the first to open in Chicago and it is now the first one to start going downhill. Is this a sign? Is it possible that Chipotle will go from yuppie mexican to just mexican? Will Chipotle replace the taquerias? The smell was moldy. The meat had a grisle feel and the logo on the cup was faded. Next they will have a fake tree and a jukebox next to the door. And chorizo. Hey, I used to eat at taquerias all the time. But now I realize that Mexican food in Chicago sucks. It just does. Will Chipotle follow in that grand tradition?
