“Tito Puente’s gonna be dead, and you’re gonna say, “Oh, I’ve been listening to him for years, and I think he’s fabulous.”

Wow! What a find! Did you know that in 1975 Marvel did twelve Episodes of Fantastic Four for radio? Neither did I. Did you know that the voice of Johnny Storm was none other than Carl Spackler and John Winger himself, Frank Cross? How cool is this?

I mean when you think about all the ways Chris Evans nailed the character in the feature film and ideal recast would be a young Bill Murray. It’s awesome to hear him throw out these heroic lines with this complete Bill Murray-ishness to them. I love any way in which Superhero’s come to life, but sometimes Old Time Radio is a bit…old, so I find myself listening far less to the Old Superman Serials than I do a more modern version, but this is the perfect compromise, and with BILL MURRAY.

I mean when you think about all the ways Chris Evans nailed the character in the feature film a young Bill Murray wouldn’t be too far-off in terms of a recast. It’s awesome to hear him throw out these heroic lines with this complete Bill Murray-ishness to them.

I love any way in which Superhero’s come to life, but sometimes Old Time Radio is a bit…old, and there’s only so many ads for “Pep” cereal that you can handle. I’d rather listen to the adventure records from the 70′s than a serial. This is so dorky, I know, but I love these stories and mythologies. You have to admit, Bill Murray is where you and I can meet in the middle on this one. I’ll clip a couple Bill Murray moments and post them so you don’t have to listen to the whole thing though, they’re pretty great.

Thanks to Cool Kooky Hip And Groovy for the amazing post.
