I might’ve posted this before, but this might be the best thing Colbert ever did. Who would’ve guessed that satire was completely dead until Colbert came on the scene? His satire is so good that you think back to a couple years ago and realize satire almost practically didn’t exist. Of course what as there to be satirized about the Clinton Administration? There was plenty to be parodied, but no call for satire. But when you have an administration who’s critisizeability runs in direct proportion to it’s declarations that it’s outside the bounds of criticism, it’s quite the little oven for the rebirth of satire.
